Title: [SUG] Language Threads
changmicky - February 27, 2009 12:27 PM (GMT)
we were thinking.. maybe we could put up something like a language thread..
the idea is we could share and learn some languages such as korean, japanese, chinese, etc..
people can post here some word translations, or even an area where someone can teach that specific language..
coz i think many people would like to learn right?
just a suggestion! ^^,

sugoi-candy had made such thread about it
here, but the thread kinda fail because the hangul didn't show up.
There's also another helpful website to learn Korean founded by our Miki which can be found
hereTo tell the truth, it's has been some sorts of discussion around us too, but so far those are what we got ..
Maybe genna can explain more regarding this matter :)

We think that's a great idea as well. :)
For sugoi-candy's thread, if you right click, go to encoding and select 'Korean' from the list, you'll be able to view the hangul. ^^
As for the other languages, there has yet to be anyone to step up and start a thread. Anyone that is fluent in the languages is welcome to start a new thread here:

I think its great idea. We even can write something about our countrys.
In Poland we had a good show 'Europe is likeable', there people from Eorope talking about the different aspects of European life. For exaple: sens of humour, food, work, love, family, holiday, tolerance, Savoir-vivre, school and many more. I think we can do something like that. Not just languages.
I can start teach you polish :) Its my native language and besides it im good with grammar :)

oh yeah. i guess so.
uhmm. probably not just about languages.
we can also talk about our culture like what kate unnie was talking about.
hehe.

And for those who have the latest version of Firefox, you have to click on View > Character Encoding > Korean (EUC-KR). If Korean (EUC-KR) isn't an option [ Note: Korean (EUC-KR) is the only one that I've tried that works for her page, but any of the other Korean options may work as well. ;) ], you have to Click Customize List..., scroll down and find and click on Korean (EUC-KR), and then click the 'Add' button on the bottom left-hand corner, and then hit 'OK'. Then, you have to repeat the first process I mentioned. XDD
But, this is how you do it for Firefox. <333 Hope this helps someone!
