Title: [ANNOUNCE] Member Prunings & Changes *IMPORTANT*

yunhosarang - January 11, 2009 10:41 PM (GMT)
It has come to our attention that many of our rules have been broken in the course of the past few months. While many of our members have been extremely pleasant and courteous to our translators and staff and heed our rules, many others have been extremely rude and have repeatedly broken them, even after our mods and admin contacted them. Therefore, starting today/tomorrow, we are deleting members with zero posts who have been here for more than three months. (This will soon be modified to members with less than five posts). Also, in an attempt to prevent further rule-breaking, a new subforum will be created in the News section. Only members with 20 or more posts will be permitted to view our translations. (Again, this post count may go up if rules are continued to be broken). It really hurts the staff when rules are broken at the forum, and we really don't want to make anything harder for our active members, but please understand that we are doing this to keep translations credible as well as out of respect for our translators who devote a significant amount of their time and efforts into getting us the latest news.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding,
your Yunho-sshi admin and global mods

genna - January 11, 2009 10:43 PM (GMT)
Thanks Amy! Very well said :)

If anyone has questions, please post them here.

Also I just want to say that it's really unfortunate that we have to do this, but it has been extremely difficult for our staff and translators for the last few months with people continuously taking our translations, claiming as their own, and breaking the few simple rules we have here. We don't want to force anyone to post in order to view our translations, which is why we don't enforce hide tags, and there many many good members here that we truly love, but because of the continuous problem caused by leechers, we will have to take this step.

To all our active members, you can continue enjoying our translations as you have, this doesn't concern you. The subforum is located within the main news section. To our new members, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but you will have to post to earn your way into our translation sub-forum.

// edit.

In the member pruning process, we encountered an error in the system, and all Yunho-sshi Lurkers have been deleted, including those that have just registered this month. I am soooo sorry! That was not meant to happen; but if you were in the lurker group, it means you haven't posted in the forum, so there is no "big" lost.... Please register again, we do welcome you here! I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. :(

Labacookie - January 11, 2009 11:23 PM (GMT)
This is unfortunate. I myself am new here (which explains my low post count  ) but already like it a great deal. It's a shame that people have so little disregard for the forum.

I'm going to try and get my post count up (no spamming though!) so I won't be affected. :) Good luck!

dbsk_forever - January 11, 2009 11:31 PM (GMT)
wow, i'm glad that you are doing this. there are some people who just don't get it and always do these stuffs that affect others who didn't do anything.
but i think it is a good idea because there are some people who come just to take translation away.
but thank you to all the staffs for their hard work on translating these news for us to read :)

staticsunshinee - January 11, 2009 11:58 PM (GMT)
Yay Amy~! ^_^
I'm actually REALLY glad this is being enforced.
some people might not take it well, but things have to be done.
I understand that people like to spread news if they can find it, but
I don't see how hard it is to keep templates up and/or credit on a translation.
I'm glad my posts are fairly high so I can continue reading what's new. ^_^
you ladies work to hard to give us this info. especially when you don't HAVE to.
let's just hope people learn a lesson from this, and stealing translation stops.

yunhosarang - January 12, 2009 12:04 AM (GMT)
yeah ^^
i really apologize to those of you who are really active

and i hate that the actions of some of the people are affecting all of you,
but this really must be done

and i hope that this problem WON'T continue, because if it does, we might have to step it up a notch T.T

thanks for being so supportive everyone,
you are all the best ^^

Genna's been forced to her corner after so long!! After all the pushed suggestions from staff, she has finally been forced to undertake such unwanted actions.

If only inactive members would have understood how lenient she was being to begin with! It's too bad how the minority had to turn into a majority to make the others have to suffer.

Yet, good work my girlies! (amy and genna) I wubbles you both! *hugs*

On a more Cassie note:
Woohooo~~ I'm glad I'm like past my 20 posts! hahahahahaha... like phew! I just TOTALLY made it! xD I'm so happy that a shy girl like me, can... honestly make it to 20 posts and still manage to read the FAST translations made by this .... ewwwwwish yunho forum! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA!! *dies of laughter*

yunhosarang - January 12, 2009 12:23 AM (GMT)

estelgrace - January 12, 2009 12:56 AM (GMT)

^ OMO!!!
that stinks!!!! >.<

well, we'll be getting a lot of PMs about this xD
hopefully, they'll rejoin >.<

genna - January 12, 2009 01:42 AM (GMT)
haha yes that is problem >__<;;
Good thing it was just the lurker group though... lol

If you know anyone that had just registered, please tell them to re-register! XD

dbsk_forever - January 12, 2009 01:46 AM (GMT)
wow, i'm sorry that you girls have these extra work in addition to those people being an ***
i hope it's not too much trouble for you guys.
*hugs the hardworking staffs* :)
good luck and hopefully there will not be anymore trouble in the future

cjc - January 12, 2009 02:19 AM (GMT)
So sorry to hear that :(

Especially about the translation, I know how much time and effort you guys had put on it.

Maybe you could add a date & time when the translation could be taken out on it, so those people could read it (slim chance that they will obey it, though it's worth a try) or at least the people who read it know when the translation could be taken out from this forum.

It'll make it easier for you guys (and we, the member will help too) to monitor it. You can open up a thread where we can report in if there are people breaking the rules, because I know you guys could only cover so many ground. And the more the merrier, right? :D

BTW, genna,

*cough*If they were deleted, then they couldn't actually read this post, could they? :D*cough*
You might want to add this announcement on the log-in page though, so those who are deleted know why they were deleted and could re-register if they wish to do so.
(I log-in automatically, so if you already did that, please ignore this :D)

LuvUknow - January 12, 2009 02:23 AM (GMT)
i really like this new rule.
people need to appreciate all the hard work the yunho-sshi staff and translators have put into translating those articles.
i noticed a few of the articles on soompi when it wasnt even 48 hours since it was last posted. ><
but i really am glad you guys decided to do this.
thank you staff for doing this :) and i really want to thank the translators (since this is kinda about them too) for working so hard to translate all these articles for us. <3

Actually all visitors can view the announcements, so they can view this thread XD but I have also added a little note above the cbox. :)

Thank you for the suggestion though! I think we will make a thread for that in the news sub-forum. ^^

yunhosarang - January 12, 2009 03:08 AM (GMT)
woah!!!!

i just saw the number of registered members
what the heck?!
we had over 1000 people without any posts?
that's just....sad

man...i'm kinda glad we're putting this rule into effect now -.-

dazzlingromance - January 12, 2009 03:54 AM (GMT)
OMG i am really glad i just made 20 posts T_T
i am really sorry that my post count is only 20 D:
but i am glad this rule goes into effect.

jaeholiC* - January 12, 2009 08:50 AM (GMT)
Fuuh .. I just read the forum disc thread yesterday, !___!

IMO, you should have done this waaay before, genna .. I mean, 1000 people without any post? Geez .. they even got a special title already ; lurker D8

People should really start following the rules, you guys have put a lot of efforts in keeping this forum tidy and translating the news, at least show some appreciation .. :<

Anyway, nice decision Amy and Genna <33
I hope people will learn to follow the rules so there won't be any more inconvenient new rules regarding this matter >___<

xoxowoonoxoxo - January 12, 2009 08:55 AM (GMT)
this is nice plan of action...
it'll really works...and it'll lessen the people who disobey the rules.

tvxq_is_mylife - January 12, 2009 11:17 AM (GMT)
^^
rational :D
our forum is advanced day by day so this decision is very accurate..... it's necessary for some to know how to respect sb's effort

I agree with all you :D :D lol

Well I wouldn't mind the number of lurkers, as most forums only have half the total number of members active anyway, but it's when... people start to disrespect the staff that it really gets to me. <.< So yes I think these new rules is a very good idea.

my2425 - January 12, 2009 05:41 PM (GMT)
I can understand where the need is to do something like this. I mean I tend to be someone who doesn't post but I think some of us need something like to get us a jump start on posting. Plus I think the 20 post rule for translations would be like a reward for for us.

iluna - January 12, 2009 11:15 PM (GMT)
It's sad that things like these happen
u__u everyone in this forum works
so hard to translate,update,etc the
latest information about our lovely boys,
they're taking their precious time in sharing
this information with us and people just don't understand
how hard it's sometime with school, work and
alot of activities to do I hope people start to understan this
and respecting the hard work of the staff

I really appreciate the hardwork

Love you guys ^^

trixa05 - January 12, 2009 11:19 PM (GMT)
wow! this is a big change!
and i congratulate genna and amy for being able to take such a step! =)
in some ways i pity the lurkers, but the kinda deserve it!
hahahaha.. *mean mode* =))
but really, our rules must always be followed by those who want to join..
the staffs have worked hard for it! <3

kim zoe - January 12, 2009 11:28 PM (GMT)
I can understand the new rule ^^. It's all to protect Yunho-sshi's property :)

But I have a small problem with it :(. Although my post count now is over 20 already, I still cannot see the translation & media sub forum :(.

Is it an error of the system, or do I have to have more posts? TT__TT

genna - January 13, 2009 12:19 AM (GMT)
^ Hm... that's strange... you should be able to... the sub-forum is located in the regular news (everywhere you go i'll be there) section. It's titled 'Original Translated Articles' :)

yunhosarang - January 13, 2009 12:52 AM (GMT)
haha yeah, it's still there
do not fear!!!

it took me a second to find where they are as well
^^

and thanks for your understanding everyoone!!

kim zoe - January 13, 2009 04:54 AM (GMT)
Still cannot find it >__< Here are the screen cap from my computer TT__TT

genna - January 13, 2009 05:05 AM (GMT)
It might be that the system is slow... >__<;;

Well I have went ahead and changed it for you, you should be able to view it now, can you check and see if you can view the sub-forum? ^^

If anyone else is having the same problem, please post here or PM me. :)

yunhobabe - January 13, 2009 06:55 AM (GMT)

im a newbie so that explained my low posts...well, i better try to keep my post up now, ^^

zhai_jung - January 13, 2009 10:26 AM (GMT)
aish... its so sad.... members who are breaking rules and those who are claiming the translations... they have to stop doing that!!! and wow 100o members with no post at all???? this is awful...

lilxinyue - January 13, 2009 09:28 PM (GMT)
...whatever helps ne?

YunhoGirl23 - January 13, 2009 10:14 PM (GMT)
this is a good idea...
i mean sometimes i think people join this forum and they dont even intend to stay active :( might as well take them out if they're not gonna bother with this forum :( sad to say but it's the right thing to do

kim zoe - January 14, 2009 06:38 AM (GMT)
