Hey guys, I have just added a new user group to the forum; Yunho-sshi Lurkers. This is the group all members with 0 post counts are placed in. Previously, all members with 0 - 19 posts were catagorized under Yunho-sshi Newbies, but now, you must have at least 1 post to be under the Yunho-sshi Newbie group.

The reason for this change is because our bulk emailing system on the board is having some problems bulk emailing so many members at a time. Dividing the member groups allows us to email fewer members at once.

Since this has just been changed today, it will take a while for invisionfree to promote all members with more than 1 post back into the Yunho-sshi Newbie user group. Please be patient. The system can be quite slow sometimes, but you will be promoted eventually. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

If for some reason, you are still not promoted after 2-3 weeks, you can PM me and I will manually promote you.

Any questions you have about this, you may post here and I'll try my best to explain it to you.

^ lol yeah... and they're actually not red... it's just the default color that goes with the layout... XD I've worked it out though, they should be navy blue again.

I agree with Trish.
encouraging them to post maybe will get them to like the forum enough to remain active.
along with the posting they also have the privilege to join in on the projects.
cause i'm sure most of the new members are posting to be only part of the 365 reasons to smile project. <_<
like hey who wouldn't want to be, but then it just leaves another inactive username on the list. :(

Well our news in our news section is allowed to be taken out either way, so I don't really see the point. It's either we lock the section completely or leave it the way it is now. And I've also discussed with our staff about this many months ago, we've came to the conclusion that locked sections / hide tags in the forum is a big turn off.

I know that many people are joining the forum because of the projects, but the majority of those members do become active after joining. And I don't really mind lurkers, I am one myself on most forums. lol... lurkers don't really do much harm for the most part, as long as there are other members who post. So... I'm really not concerned. The reason why I had to set up a separate user group was because of the email function on our board that was going wonky.

Also, for the 365 project we only need around 20 more messages. :)

LOL! I had no idea about the lurker status. I expected this to be about all lurkers getting booted. XD I joined mainly to support a project, but didn't want to get booted so I commented. Now that I'm commenting, I don't think I can lurk anymore. :)

But this is a really good idea. I'm sure the silent watchers out there appreciate it.
